Coronavirus: questions and answers
Symptoms
The symptoms are fever and dry cough, in some cases troubled breathing.
Prevent infection
- Good hand hygiene, primarily hand washing, optionally hand disinfection if your hands are clean and dry
- Avoid contact with people with symptoms of cold and / or respiratory infection
- Cough or sneeze in disposable handkerchief, alternatively in the elbow bend
This protects both yourself and others from infection.
Call ahead if you get sick
Call your doctor or emergency medical services if you develop a fever, cough or shortness of breath within 14 days of returning home. Remember to inform the healthcare personnel that you have been travelling in an affected area.
You should always call ahead and not just show up at the doctor’s office or at the emergency room. This is in order for the health care personnel to take the necessary precautions to prevent transmission in case of infection.
