SU
SU is financial aid paid by the State, to which Danish students are entitled during their studies. The State Education Fund assesses whether you, as an international student, satisfy the requirements for receiving SU. You pay tax on SU financial aid, which is deducted before the funds are deposited in your bank account (NemKonto). As an international student, you can enquire as to whether you are entitled to SU.
